Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile and desktop applications published by SleepyBytes SIA ("we", "our"), the one-person company of Aivars Meijers, including Apnea Freediving Exercises, Motorcycle Journey (RiderLog), Box Breathing, Bike Identifier, Recurring Bill SubTracker, Focus Lock, Rounds Timer, Routine Planner, Daily Plank, Fasting Tracking Timer, Extraction Raider Companion, and our other apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play (together, the "Apps").
The short version: our Apps do not require accounts, we do not sell your data, and your training and activity data stays on your device (or in your own iCloud). The rest of this policy explains the details.
Data stored on your device
Your training sessions, exercise history, rides, saved scans, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We have no access to this data. On iOS, some Apps can optionally sync this data through iCloud; that data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's terms and is never visible to us.
Health data (iOS)
Some Apps can read from and write to Apple Health (HealthKit), for example saving a breathing session or reading heart rate, only if you explicitly grant permission. Health data is used solely to provide app functionality, never for advertising or marketing, and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings.
Location data (ride recording)
Motorcycle Journey (RiderLog) uses your location to record rides, only while you are recording. Routes are stored on your device, and sharing anything is always your explicit choice; privacy zones let you hide the areas around places you choose (such as home) from shared content. We do not track your location in the background, and no App uses location for advertising or profiling.
Photos (AI identification)
Bike Identifier analyzes photos you choose to scan in order to identify the motorcycle. Images are processed by an AI image-recognition service solely to produce your result and are not used to identify you or to build a profile of you. Saved scans live in your in-app garage on your device.
Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics tools (Mixpanel in some Apps, PostHog in others) to understand how our Apps are used, for example which features are popular and where users run into problems, so we can improve them. This includes events such as screens viewed or sessions completed, together with technical information like device model, operating system version, app version, and language. This data is associated with a random identifier, not your name or email; we do not collect personally identifying information through analytics. These providers process data on our behalf (Mixpanel privacy policy, PostHog privacy policy).
Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see or store your payment details. To manage subscriptions and unlock premium features, we use RevenueCat, which processes purchase receipts and subscription status linked to a random app-specific identifier (RevenueCat privacy policy). You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Advertising (free versions on Android)
Free versions of our Android apps show banner advertising provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve and measure ads; depending on your consent choice, ads are either personalized or non-personalized (details). In the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland you will be asked for consent before any personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice in the app's settings at any time. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings. Subscribers see no ads, and no advertising SDK activity takes place for subscribed users. Our iOS apps do not show advertising.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not require accounts or collect names, emails, or contacts.
- We do not track your location in the background or use it for advertising.
- We do not share health data with anyone.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because our Apps store data on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly: deleting the app deletes its data, and you can reset your advertising ID in system settings. For analytics data or any other request, contact us at the email below and we will handle it within 30 days.
Children
Our Apps are intended for adults and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use of the Apps after changes means you accept the updated policy.
